Watches Maintain Professional Image

Maintaining a polished, professional image is something that is very important to business owners and other professionals. No matter what field you are in, it is critical that the people you work with see you as a credible, respectful and trustworthy person – otherwise, they’re likely to be hesitant to do business with you.

That’s one reason why it’s a good idea for professionals to wear a watch, even in the age of smartphone technology. While many people rely on their cell phones to keep track of time, that’s not something that is appropriate for business people to do in every situation. Glancing at your watch for a quick check of the time is one thing – but picking up your cell phone in a business meeting is another matter entirely.

If you are in an important sales presentation or client meeting, looking at your cell phone to keep an eye on the time would send an inappropriate message to the person or people that you are meeting with – which is something that no professional can afford to do.
Fashionable time pieces like Invicta Watches are a much better option for professionals to keep track of time than relying solely on a cell phone for this task.

Working from Home

The article written by Geraldo Russo

I recently started working from home more often and though I thought it would be a lot of fun I’m actually having trouble focusing. I spend a lot more time watching my TVByDirect than I do working and because we’ve got a dog that needs a lot of exercise I’m always outside with him making sure he’s got his walk in. I think my boss was crazy to let me do this in retrospect because he’s got to see that my productivity has gone down and that I’m not available to answer my phone anymore like I always was when I was at my desk at work. I love having so much flexibility but I also really miss being able to chat with my colleagues on a day to day basis but I guess I’ll get used to it eventually and also find a way to focus when it comes down to it. I love that there are so many great shows on during the day for me to get distracted by, though, and that’s the truth!

Thinking About Opening a Retail Business?

Are you considering becoming the owner of a bricks and mortar retail business? If so, there are a number of things that you’ll need to consider when writing your business plan. Here are a few of the many factors that you need to investigate when you are preparing to open this type of business.

Four Key Factors for Retail Entrepreneurs to Consider

  • Competition – What other companies are there in the local area that offer products and services that are similar to what you have to offer? How does what you want to do differ from what other similar businesses are doing?
  • Customer Base – Is there a local customer base for your goods and services? Where are potential buyers located? How far are they willing to travel to buy what you have to offer? Why would they go to a local store as opposed to shopping online?
  • Budget Factors – When considering how much money you will need to start your business, you need to consider all of the expenses you’ll incur when starting this type of business. That means considering the expense of leasing or buying space, build-out., licensing, taxes, marketing staffing, purchasing retail store fixtures and much more.
  • Finding Suppliers – You will have to make sure that you have suppliers lined up if you decide to move ahead with your business plan. This means having sources for purchasing the merchandise that you plan to carry, as well as the retail store supplies you will need to launch a successful operation.

This is only the beginning of the to-do list you will face if you decide to become the owner of a traditional retail store. Make sure that you conduct thorough research before starting your business venture.
