You have probably heard of it before – the magic marketing rule of 3!! What does that mean? Well I am here to attest to a rule that has been set in motion decades ago . . . and has worked its magic in my own business marketing!
The Rule of 3 is simply . . . . Whatever you do – DO IT IN 3’s! I know – too simple right — WRONG!!
Most people often forget that we live in a microwave world where we get tons of emails, text messages, and other advertising - consciously and subconsciously bombarding our brains!! When you plan your marketing strategies – consistently sending the SAME message at least THREE times ensures that the message is being READ, RECEIVED, and RE-ACTED upon!
Which time did you finally read this article? Was it the first time I sent it? The second? The third?
My point exactly. Let me expound on my THREE points:
Is your message being READ?
Are your prospects deleting your emails, discarding your mailings, or misplacing other creative marketing pieces? Repetition helps build familiarity, which in turn helps build credibility. Once prospects recognize you as a STABLE, consistent company, eventually they will start to develop enough trust to start doing business with you.
Is your message being RECEIVED?
Often people scan their emails or browse over other marketing pieces not because they aren’t effective – but because they are preoccupied!! Prospects could be distracted by work, major events in their lives, un-interest, affordability, or simply that the message isn’t sinking in . . . The myriad of possibilities are endless why your message isn’t being received – but when you CONSISTENTLY market to prospects – ultimately you will be pushed to the forefront of their minds. There is a reason why “out of sight – out of mind” is a very viable phrase to remember.
Is your message causing a REACTION?
We live in a world of procrastinators . . . don’t smile . . . I am a victim of this too! So since WE know this . . . is your marketing causing a REACTION? Are you setting deadlines and due dates or are your promotions open ended? If the deadline is forever, then that’s how long it’s going to take you to bring in new customers! The rabbit chases the carrot for a reason – what’s your carrot?
