It doesn’t take a genius to figure out that jobs aren’t easy to come by right now, especially if you just graduated from college with no professional work experience, like me. But it does take someone who’s actively looking for a job to know that it’s like a full-time job by itself.

I started out my serach before graduation with internet service satellite AK at college. Now, most mornings I get up pretty early and make my rounds checking job postings on message boards that are new for the day. And then I’ll decide which jobs I’ll apply to first and pull open industry- or position-appropriate cover letter that I’ve already used to apply to at least 10 other jobs. I’ll change up the opening anecdote to suit the company and insert its name at the end when I say that I would love the opportunity to work for them.

Although it sounds like it’s not that bad, making sure that every application is perfect can get pretty tedious after a while. I’m just glad that I have my satellite internet TX at home with my parents to help me get job bank newsletters and notifications in my inbox as soon as they’re out so I can actually land a job.
